Our students

Our students enjoy the stability of the Kenyan Curriculum and the flexibility of investigative learning. At Nova Pioneer we believe in the value and inherent potential of each child. We believe in fostering the innate curiosity of the child through investigation and enquiry-based learning, coupled with an emphasis on developing the 21st century skills. Our enquiry-based learning approach is student-centered to ensure our students feel empowered and prepared to lead.

Our Eldoret Campus

Located on a sprawling 10 – Acre property in the serene area of Elgon View along Plateau road in Eldoret County, The Home of Champions. The Nova Pioneer approach to teaching and learning is not what you find at other 8-4-4 schools. Classes are hands-on and interactive, and classrooms are student-centered, which means that the teacher guides the student to discover solutions themselves, rather than simply telling a student how to solve the problem.

What else do you need to know?

Extra-curriculars

Extra-curricular activities and clubs, offered by teachers and/or external providers, are held on Nova Pioneer premises. Activities are selected on a termly basis and they include (but are not limited to): basketball, football, swimming, cross country, rugby, volleyball, computer and HTML, makers club, scouting, etc. Students will have the opportunity to compete in friendly tournaments with other Nova Pioneer campuses or other schools.

Meals

Our Catering team is well aware of the stage our students are in and this is incorporated in their menu. Since we do not allow the students with Snacks from outside, we provide them with a total of seven intakes of meals within the day from breakfast, to lunch, dinner and evening tea. Each main meal is accompanied with the fruit in season.

Counselling

Our Secondary School has a full time cousellor and school chaplain. Counseling is designed to facilitate student achievement, improve student behavior and attendance, and help students develop socially. Our counsellors support students who are experiencing personal or academic challenges.

I really like their teaching philosophy of not spoon feeding the kids but giving them problems that they can come up with solutions to. The teachers are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. You can see they are passionate about children and teaching.
